Background: These rare and highly prized wild tea buds are picked and produced by 51 year old Mr Li, a third generation tea farmer following in his father and grandfathers footsteps. Although he owns tea gardens where he grows his own tea, these special buds are only collected from the wild trees growing in the local wild mountain environment. It is only such well established old trees with deep roots that produce such fat juicy buds each spring, with suitable complexity of flavour. These trees grow naturally with no fertiliser or pesticide use, so produce organic tea by default. Each year he harvests only around 300kg and they are used only to make white tea.

Picked in spring 2018 and only very lightly withered before drying at low temperature, to preserve the delicate light silver-green leaf, infusing into a pale silver-gold liquor.

Brewing guide: 2.5 - 3 grams per 200ml. Multiple infusions can be made from these juicy flavour packed buds. See guides on the main White tea page.
